The process used to make the colors
on stargazer are a complex set of chemical reactions that are controlled only to a small degree in order to produce the kind of random images found in space
Made of steam-bent, laminated ash wood, Stargazer is coated with transparent fiberglass to make
it weather resistant for outdoor use. It is actually a back-to-back chaise longe that forms one continuous
swoop.

Schlebecker Studios is the name for Pete Schlebecker's art and design furniture studio
located in Kensington, Maryland. Pete also
teaches at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship
in Rockport, Maine, the Penland School of Crafts in Penland, North Carolina,
and the Woodworker's Club in Rockville, Maryland.
Pete has an MFA from the
Rhode
Island School of Design and has been a professional studio furniture maker
for 27 years. Most of Pete's work has been on a commission basis but
many of the pieces
